Research Experience:

Hua Chai was born in 1983 in China. He earned his Master of Science in Transport Engineering & Operations from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK in 2007. After graduate, he joined the research team in Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport focusing on highway related research, and has been involved in research on highway geometric design, road safety, traffic engineering and also on highway related standardization work for over ten years. He has been charged or major joined in over 10 government-aided research projects or standard compilation projects, as well as over 100 technical consultancy projects. He also published over 20 papers on journals or international conference proceedings focusing on road safety and highway engineering issues.
